Back in 2001, Jebsen & Jessen Technology Singapore (JJTS) together with our partner Galvatek Oy delivered Asia’s first fully automated chemical cleaning plant. Our client, Singapore Aero Engine Services Limited (SAESL), are the Singapore Airlines (SIA) and Rolls Royce joint venture that service and maintain engines for SIA’s fleet.    
A decade on, in June 2011, and another milestone with the commissioning of Asia's second fully automated chemical cleaning plant for sister company Hong Kong Aero Engine Services Limited (HAESL) in their new facility in Hong Kong.
The cleaning plants perform a vital function in the process of taking care of the engines that fly us safely across the globe. Precision, and smart innovation, ensure that the fully automated line uses resources efficiently and maintains a reliable, high level of safety. Industrial processes of this sort are skilfully engineered to reduce the risk to the environment and the people who operate the machinery whilst keeping the process itself effective.
In ten years the structure of the process remains similar – in both Singapore and Hong Kong you’ll find the chemical tanks, steam booths and effluent treatment plants that make up the facility itself. The change is in the detail and most significantly in the user interface. Touch screens now help the operator manage the process with the flexibility required.
